...You're not gonna kill me, are you?

Ok, let's skip this as fast as possible: Iamverysorryabouthowlongit'sbeensincelasttime, andwilltrytonotrepeatthisagainthisyear.

Now, that wasn't too bad, was it?

Well... What can I say? The homeworks have attempted murdering me, we hav had a week out of the school and into real jobs, and such obstacles. About my working week: I decided to try out the  Teacher's work (don't laugh) and I actually find it more relaxing than doing school work. Lucky me.

Today, I would like to tell you about Unreal Development Kit (UDK). It's basically a highly advanced tool for making video games. http://www.udk.com/download There you have the download. As I said, it's very advanced, even professional developers may use this. But take your time and get used to it! (Long time!)

And today we had a "Gründercamp" at school. "Gründer" is German, and means founder. We were supposed to invent something today. My group invented an excersise - machine, that produced electricity when in use. The jury thought it was genious, and Voilà: The Best-Idea-trophy! ("Trophy")

Just gonna do some Home Works... AAAAGH!!! PLEASE!! NO!!!

'Morning! I know tath there has been a long time since last time I wrote any totally useful information here, but, Hello! I'm sorry! This post is going to explain why I'm such a snail at writing and explain the topic.

You know about your home works? These crappy pages filled with mud which again is filled with unknown monsters that will kill you before you even can think of finishing your home works? Yes? Right? No...? ... :(
Well, that's my problem. Our teachers have insisted at giving us as much submissions in one week as possible, to see who of us really is sucidal. (Probably.) For Friday last week, we originally had to finish about 6 projects and other "H*ll no!" -stuff. The subjects are: [Hated trumpet solo?] science, English, Norwegian, art (+ something I find hard to translate), religion and geography. All for last week.

Suspiciously, both the scientific submission and the English one got delayed. Maybe they found out that there wouldn't be any more people left to bully in the class if they didn't do so. I am proud of beng a lucky survivor together with all of my classmates. (...)

Todays totally useful and important information is about... Strange... I just have useful information for the gamers in the audience... What could that mean? [Hmmmm...] Well, I recommand Fileplanet.com! A place were you can get access to a lot of betas and other things that may be related to your life. (!) That's all from me! I hope that someone - in the future- reads this. That would be awesome.

Holidays result = :-/

Back again! I should not pretend that this is new, I came back four days ago... Anyways: How was my vacation? My honest opinion is: There would have been an adventage to be more positive to skiing in an open terrain with -20 degrees Celcius and with wind strenght hurling you backwards in the trail. But enough about this sh*t (I need to find a new, more open word...), I will tell you about some good stuff... :-D

You have an DS, right? You know that little thing with two screens where the lowest is touch sensitive, and everyone is crazy about those cute little puppies appearing on the screen? Yes!? ... No..? Not really?
Well, anyways... If you are looking for something that will give your brain resistance for more than 2.5 seconds, I have just the right thing for you. Professor Layton is the answer!

The games are exclusive to DS, but if you are fan of excercising your brain because you wanna get cleverer (What else...?) ,there is almost worth getting a DS just to hunt down all the answers in the Professor Layton games.

If you don't own a DS and don't want to spend a highly discussable sum on getting one, you should try out Braid. This game can, among others, be downloaded directly from Steam. It doesn't cost too much either. And trust me: If something is going to break your brain, Braid will.

I am presenting you: Steam!

Yeah, I know.. To you, it may seem like verything written here these days is something you knew before. Patience, please. Your time will come. And to everyone else: Welcome to a new, totally useful post in this totally serious blog!

To day, I would like to bring the spotlights to Steam, which I think some of you have heard of. (Silence! No interruption!) Steam is a program and a community founded by the ultimate game developer Valve. In here, you got access to everything important on the game market today. Also included: Trailers, Demos and downloadable titles that you will never find in the stores no matter how long you camp in there. But, please don't misunderstand this... You have to pay.

I'm going on a vacation for a week, from today, but I am sure you won't miss me. [AAAHH... Nobody loves me...! :( ] And, then again, don't misunderstand, I will do everything I can to not enjoy my stay in the cold, dark mountain.

New crazy sh*t!

Yes, I know, there has been a while, but you guys are getting used to it, if you aren't already. I've been home with chickenpox all the week and today, so that's why I haven't written anything totally useful here. (Hmm... Still not sure if that's a good reason...) Anyways, you should pay attention, or you will miss the most important that've ever happened since last time I wrote.

Well... I found this website which features posters. If you spend a lot of time on the Internet (you should, if you have time to come here), you may sometimes have come across some posters like this. You know... The ones with a black frame and som suiting text underneath the picture. They do all come from memebase (I think, there may be some undergound place somewhere disagreeing right now). So, if you still have enough time after you have tried everything else in this blog, spend a few hours... days at http://verydemotivational.memebase.com/ . Caution! Addiction may happen.

WHY METAL?

I have no idea why. From my point of view, I recognize metal (I am talking about the music genre, in case you... are not into it,) as an event where someone (the "band") dresses up in something they know will send them to down under, and I am not talking about Australia. So, these people then stand up on a scene, recieving applause because the audience thought they had to small amount of IQ to actually do that, and then they start doing what everyone (I) hoped they wouldn't do.

Very often, this caotic happening starts off with noises made by an el-guitar. I have never heard anyone actually using an el-guitar in a way that creates music, so I guess that no one is surprised by this part. After a noisy while, someone on the scene, most likely the guy with the craziest costume, starts singing. But this is not singing as we know from our childmemories, this is more an expression of huge pain and great sorrow. Heavy metal artists are good at that, but I don't think anyone can handle this much pain. It sounds like a dragon just ate half of his inner vocal, and  now he is trying to tell us how much it hurt, before going to hospital.

Of course, there are more people mixed in this stew, and the bassist is a good example on what to do when you feel an extreme inner pressure to disturb someone and hurt a part of their body in the same turn. He uses some kind of modified guitar that only makes a deep noise. Great, now we can't have any Herz for ourselves anymore. No you have to listen to this, and you can't listen to anything the coming week.

And at last... The drummer. The really bad guy in the setting. He uses drums (I don't have to explain what that is, right?) to keep everyone else in the terror-group not rush past one-another. It's acually ok, but to do that he have to make more sound than everyone else. And then, the stage is broken.
The audience have to just keep on screaming and worshiping the band, because if they don't... They will be caught, tortured and murdered. And then they get a DVD with the Golden Compass in their grave.

Well... I assume that not everyone of you readers share my point of view, but I'll leave up to you to comment and tell the world how stupid you really think I am. Have a nice day.

Today's... Thing

In a desperate need of new ideas for the blog, I came up with the idea: Write about something no one cares about. So, todays subject is: Violence in games.

Have you ever thought about it? In the stores over here at least 80 % of he games contains some kind of violence. Why? Actually, I sent an e-mail to a proffesional game-reviewer company about this, and the answer was disturbing... They told me that violence sells. ...and what a n00b I was, asking about something that obvious. ...Okay, ignore that last sentence.

Now I got a new question: Why does violence sell? I think that is because we are violent by nature. (Isn't very upclearing...? ...Ye- No? Okay, it's just me then...
Then, again: Why are we so violent by nature? Who wanted us to be like this? Well... The answer is that the totally outdated lifestyle of the stone age needed us to be like that. Killing ...and other stuff, was the only way to survive!

Somebody thinks that games which are violent, may cause the player (in scientific language: gamer) to flip out and kill/hurt somebody! Actually... I read a comic strip about that. I know it was just to make people laugh, but it actually came up with a good point: "Have you read that violent games may make people that plays them violent themselves?" "Yes, but they never think of us that actually has to kill somebody sometimes!"

That's all for today, I'll leave to you to comment that comic.
